It’s official: Apple will be holding the much anticipated iPhone event on September 10, 2013 at the company campus in Cupertino, California. The event is scheduled to begin at 10 AM (Pacific Time), and will likely kick off with the introduction of various key products, including the high-end iPhone 5S and budget iPhone 5C. Updates on various of Apple’s latest software applications –for example, iOS 7, iTunes Radio, etc.—are also expected to be announced throughout the event.
The invite itself –featuring a simplistic, colorful aesthetic— has been noted for its various not-so-subtle hints regarding the nature of the new products. Some perceive the multi-color spots and invite slogan (“This should brighten everyone’s day”) to be a possible allusion to the multiple color options available for the iPhone 5S and 5C (the iPhone 5C, in particular, is rumored to come in yellow, pink, blue, green, and white). The neon-like color scheme, on the other hand, is perceived to be a spot on reference to the completely re-designed iOS 7.
On September 11, 2013, a similar Apple media event is expected to take place in China at the Beijing World Trade Center. Market observers have been keen to view this as a sign of Apple’s growing interest in the Chinese market.
