According to a recent series of reports, both Samsung and Apple are contemplating releasing tablet devices that measure beyond 10 inches. The Korean giant is currently rumored to be working on a 12.2 inch and 13.3 inch tablet model, and may announce them as early as the first half of 2014. Ubergizmo’s Adnan Farooqui suggests that the production of the smaller model (12.2 inch) is already slated to begin by the end of this year.
Apple, meanwhile, is testing the displays for an iPad model that will reportedly sport an 11.4 inch or 12.9 inch display. A recent report from the Chinese site, Padnews, implied that the testing has already reached the advanced phase (thanks to help from Foxconn), and claimed that the product’s release date could be around March 2014.
