Chinese vendor Huawei’s Ascend Mate 7 was named one of the best flagship models at IFA 2014 by GSM Arena, Android Authority, Android Central and Tom’s Guide. Since its release in September 2014, sales have exceeded one million units globally. The device has also stirred much discussion in Taiwan since sales began there in late October. Huawei recently announced that the device will be sold at Taiwan Star Telecom Corp.’s locations throughout the island.

Huawei’s Mate 7 is the world’s first Android smartphone to have touch fingerprint sensor. The phone sports an octa-core processor and features 4G LTE Cat6 technology. Mate 7 has a 6-inch FHD in-cell LTPS display and 2.9-mm narrow bezels with 83 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Moreover, Mate 7 runs on Huawei’s EMUI 3.0 OS. The user-friendly interface allows easier single-hand operations. With details focused on functions and visual designs, the intuitive EMUI 3.0 can swiftly meet the users’ needs. For example, a single hand swipe can switch the screen from calls to contact list and to text messages.
