Following the opening of several Apple Stores in Japan, Hong Kong and China, fans in Taiwan are looking forward to one here at home. It was recently rumored the first Apple Store will soon be opened in Taiwan, after human resource consulting firm Adecco listed a job on Taiwan’s 104 Job Bank, advertising it as full-time Apple Store sales associate.
Hardcore Apple fans in Taiwan used to fly to Hong Kong or Japan for the latest products. Perhaps in the near future, customers will be able to get their hands on the newest Apple devices here in Taiwan. Currently, there are only authorized Apple resellers in Taiwan.
Adecco recently posted the job opening on 104 Job Bank. According to the post, the job location is in Taipei’s bustling Xinyi District. Job responsibilities for the full-time position include introducing and selling products and receiving and serving customers. The salary ranges from NT$28,000 (US$918.09) to NT$35,000 per month and the number of positions offered is not limited. The job post made people believe the first Apple Store may end up in Xinyi District. However, Apple Asia’s Taiwan Branch is also located in Xinyin District; Adecco could have just listed the office location for the time being.
