While we had only been speculating what HTC’s next move would be, the Taiwanese giant confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be a squeezable one. All the rumors surrounding HTC U 11, codenamed Ocean, were given credibility right that instant. It has also been announced that the device will be unveiled on May 16, which will see it compete against and give some tough competition to the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

Since we’re still a few days out from the official release of the device, more leaked renders and internal spec details continue to make their way to the interwebs. Today, we’ve been given a chance to feast our eyes upon a red-colored glossy variant of this device in a newly released 360-degree render video.

These type of smartphone renders are usually created using CAD drawings leaked either from the manufacturing facility or the case maker who’s been provided with a preview of the specs and dimensions of the phone. Such render leaks should usually be taken with a grain of salt but today’s render comes directly from one of the typically reliable sources — @OnLeaks.

As can be seen below, it has partnered with Indian mobile-listing platform 91Mobiles to drop the deeds on HTC’s upcoming flagship device. It is expected to integrate edge sensors, which will make the side of the device squeezable, which is the tongue-and-cheek term for supported gestures. It will enable you to navigate the Android software, topped off with Sense 9, by squeezing or swiping along the edges of the device.

In the leaked 360-degree render video, you can witness the bright red HTC U 11 smartphone with a glossy finish. It looks similar to Apple’s limited-edition product(RED) iPhone 7 lineup, which was recently launched in support of AIDS charity. This was the first time Apple released its flagship devices in the said color, else accessories have only received the said treatment till date.

As for rest of the specifications, they’ve also been leaked by an Antutu Benchmark listing for the HTC U 11. The said device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (which could extend from edge-to-edge, not exactly clear in this 360-degree render video) and will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.

This will be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage but it could have other variations of storage as well. There is also the option to expand storage up to 2 TB using microSD cards. It is also expected to bring along a 12-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint integrated into the home button, no 3.5mm headphone jack, and sensors on the edge — the highlight of this device.
