iRobot Announces Agreement with Micro-Star International in Patent Dispute

iRobot Corp., a leader in consumer robots and maker of the Roomba vacuuming robot, announced that it has reached a confidential agreement with Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. (“MSI”), a $3 billion (U.S.) Taiwanese computer and component manufacturer. The agreement represents a successful effort by iRobot to defend and protect its valuable intellectual property. As part of the agreement, MSI agreed to exit the robotic cleaning industry worldwide and will compensate iRobot with a confidential monetary payment. The remaining terms of the settlement are confidential.

SES GS to Showcase GEO & MEO Solutions at Modern Day Marine Expo

SES Government Solutions (SES GS) announced that it will demonstrate its Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite communication system at the Modern Day Marine Expo at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The solutions can connect defense missions in most remote areas with no terrestrial infrastructure, adapting to a broad range of scenarios. AIXTRON announced that it has received an order for an AIX G5+ platform from Swedish-American company glō-USA, Inc. The group focuses on the commercialization of Micro-LED products based on their proprietary defect-free GaN nanowires technology. Such 3D structures enable the growth of Micro LEDs while maintaining the reliability of an inorganic material system. AIXTRON’s AIX G5+ Planetary Reactor® system was selected in the scope of glō’s strategic expansion and will be delivered with an 8×150 mm configuration in the course of Q4/2017. (more…)
