With India being one of the fastest growing smartphone markets, Apple has been haggling with the government authorities to set up their manufacturing unit as well as exclusive stores in the country for a majority of the last year. The Cupertino giant is now expected to meet up with ministry officials from on January 25 to discuss its long-standing plans of manufacturing the iPhone in India. Apple’s OEMs Gave Out Offers To Triple Overtime Pay To Alleviate Labor Shortage During And After Chinese New Year

It’s been less than a month before Chinese New Year, and that could be the biggest concern for Apple’s supply chain—for their employees will flock back home for reunion, and according to the stats over the years, each year, 5% to 10% of them didn’t show up after holidays. Apple’s App Store Sees More than $20 Billion in Sales in 2016

Apple said Thursday that its App Store recorded more than $20 billion in sales for developers last year, a new record. The App Store’s business remains solid even as iPhone sales volumes are falling. AirPods Manufacturer Stepping up Production in Face of Positive Customer Response

Apple’s Christmas Sales Less Impressive than Expected

According to an annual report from Flurry Analytics, between Dec 19 and 25, Apple products comprised 44% of activated smartphones and tablets while Samsung’s smartphones and tablets accounted for 21%. In 2015, Apple products accounted for 49.1% of those devices, while Samsung made up 19.8%. (more…)
