Lenovo’s Third Quarter FY 2016/17 Results Led by Growth In PC Business

Lenovo Group has announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2016. Quarterly revenue was US$12.2 billion, a six percent decrease year-over-year. Third quarter pre-tax income was US$101 million, a 68 percent decline year-over-year. Net income fell 67 percent year-over-year to US$98 million. (more…)

Facebook Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2016 Results

Facebook, Inc. today reported financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2016.

“Our mission to connect the world is more important now than ever,” said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO. “Our business did well in 2016, but we have a lot of work ahead to help bring people together.”

Before the party, Inventec Chairman Richard Lee shared his prospects for 2017 during a media interview. Tencent Reports 43% Profit Increase in Third Quarter

Why did Casetek Just Report Its Worst Quarterly Earnings Ever?

Casetek Holdings, a metal casing supplier for MacBooks and iPads, reported its lowest quarterly earnings period to date Tuesday as the company’s bottom line was slammed by the delayed launch of the new MacBook Pro. Casetek’s net profit fell 77.4% year-on-year and 15.8% on a quarterly basis to NT$366 million (US$11.62 million) in the third quarter. (more…)
