Taiwan to Become One of 10 Largest PV Markets Worldwide in 2017, Says TrendForce

Taiwan’s government has focused on expanding the island’s PV power generation as part of its plan to abandon nuclear power. In terms of targets, Taiwan aims to add 1.52GW of PV capacity between mid-2016 and mid-2018 and ultimately achieve a cumulative capacity of 20GW in 2025. (more…)

Apple Enters the Energy Sector

Apple is spending US$850 million on a 130-megawatt (MW) solar farm near San Francisco and will begin selling power into wholesale markets, Bloomberg News reported Monday. Tesla to Buy SolarCity in Q4 for US$2.6 Billion
