Oracle to Set Up An Indian Data Centre over the Next 12-14 Months

With the increase in demand for cloud services from government as well as the corporate sector, Oracle is looking to set up a data centre in India soon. According to Thomas Kurian, the president for product development of the U.S tech giant, the data centre is expected to be up in the next 12-14 months. Singapore-Based Anchanto Raises Funding to Strengthen Its Footprint in APAC Countries

Singapore-based Anchanto has received funding from omnichannel retailer Luxasia Group and its existing investor, the TSE-listed global end-to-end e-commerce enabler, transcosmos inc. Japan (TCI). At A $3Bn Valuation, Indonesia’s Go-Jek Raises $1.2Bn from Tencent: Report

Go-Jek, the direct rival of Uber and Grab in Indonesia, has raised a ballooning $1.2 billion from Tencent. The report first appeared on TechCrunch quoting two sources close to the company. The valuation of the ride-hailing firm post this round is $3 billion. Other investors that pumped in the money aren’t known but reportedly existing investors had also participated. The company is slated to make a formal announcement soon. (more…)
