New Energy Solar Acquires Two SunPower Power Plants in California

New Energy Solar and SunPower Corp announced on December 11 that New Energy Solar has acquired a substantial majority interest in two large-scale solar projects, totalling over 134 megawatts (MW), that SunPower developed, designed and constructed in Kern County, California. SunPower will retain an ownership interest in the projects, which each having a capacity of 67.4 MWs, and provide ongoing operation and maintenance services. (more…)

JetSmarter Private Jet Booking App Raises a Fresh US$105 Million

Florida-based JetSmarter private-jet booking app has raised US$105 million in fresh funds, global media reported Tuesday. The company has a current valuation of US$1.6 billion. The latest funding round includes funding from rapper Jay Z, investment firm KZ Capital, private jet operator Jet Edge International and private-equity funds based in the Persian Gulf. (more…)

Grab and Tokyo Century Corporation to Work Together

Ride-hailing-app operator Grab inked a deal with financial services company Tokyo Century Corporation to work on new leasing and rental car options for GrabCar drivers.  The collaboration could help Grab better compete with Uber by allowing passengers the chance to ride in newer vehicles.
