Lenovo Is Phasing Out Motorola, To Re-Christen It To “Moto By Lenovo”

In a bid to unify all of its devices under a common brand name, Motorola Chief Operating Officer Rick Osterloh told in an interview to CNET, that the company will be facing out the Iconic “Motorola” brand. Lenovo Gets Into The PC-On-A-Stick Business With Ideacentre 300

Looks like the PC-on-a-stick field is about to get hotter with the announcement of Lenovo’s Ideacentre 300. The concept is similar to Intel’s Compute Stick, which was released in April this year. Lenovo’s product is slated for a July release at just a meagre $129, which is a $20 lower than Intel’s Compute Stick. (more…)

Lenovo to make way into Japan’s low-budget smartphone market

Lenovo Japan of Chinese device maker Lenovo announced March 26 that it will make its way into Japan’s smartphone market soon, with the sales model and brand name to be determined, according to several Japanese media outlets. The Chinese group currently operates under the brand names Lenovo and Motorola. Lenovo may use either one of these brand names for the new smartphones, or the brand name of its PC business partner NEC, which has previously withdrawn from the smartphone market, according to sources. Lenovo announces Motorola’s high-profile return to China with Android handsets

Chinese PC maker Lenovo Group, which acquired Motorola Mobility from Google, announced Jan. 6 at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that Motorola smartphones will soon return to the Chinese market. The Android-powered Moto X, Moto G and Moto X Pro will be sold in China soon, with a product launch event scheduled on Jan. 26. (more…)
