Sony officially ends production and shipment of PlayStation 3 in Japan

After a lengthy eleven year journey, Sony is bidding adieu to the PlayStation 3. The company, via its official Japanese product page, has today confirmed that the production of the wildly popular PlayStation 3 (500GB model) has come to an end this week in Japan. This comes as no surprise because we had already received word back in March that the Japanese giant was planning to kill this console from its catalogue. (more…)

Sony’s Latest Patent May Soon Enable Wireless Charging of One Phone Using Another

Ps4 Owners, Prepare Yourself for an Upcoming Major Update

Sony TV Business’ Turnaround: to Re-launch OLED Large Size TV

Sony plans to sell large size organic light emitting diodes (OLED) TV worldwide in summer 2017, according to Nikkei’s news. It aims to increase its sales via next generation display technology. OLED can present more vivid color, and higher contrast ratio, with faster processing speed. Sony’s OLED TV will use LG Display’s panels, with Sony’s researched image processing technology. It will be unveiled to the Europe, USA, and China markets in spring 2017. (more…)
