Nokia Claims to Have Outperformed Rival Ericsson in Sales

Ever since the advent of 4G mobile broadband equipment, telecoms network suppliers are fighting a harsh battle to cope with the rising demands of 4G networks. Taiwan and China’s August Manufacturing PMI Both Hit Record High

Following the traditional high season in the electronics industry, Taiwan’s manufacturing PMI climbed to 55% in August 2016, which marks the highest record in the past 16 months. Chinese authorities also released its manufacturing PMI on Sep. 1, 2016, marking its return to a reading of more than 50, which represents a new high for the past few 22 months. (more…)

Taiwan to Build a Platform for Smart Manucturing Industry: President Tsai

The 2016 Asia Industry 4.0 & Intelligent Manufacturing Expo started on Aug. 31st at the Nangang exhibition center in Taipei. The event’s official opening ceremony was hosted by Taiwanese President Tsai Ing Wen, who took the stage to reaffirm Taiwan’s existing commitment to intelligent manufacturing technologies and its latest efforts to develop an integrated platform for industry 4.0. HP Beats Analyst Expectations in Third Quarter, Reports $11.9 Billion Revenues with Stabilized PC Sales

HP, the second-largest PC manufacturer after Lenovo, recently announced its third quarter earnings report. It reported a revenue of $11.9 billion and $783 million in earnings (48 cents a share). Although the numbers declined from the period last year but they managed to beat analyst estimates which had pegged revenues at $11.44 billion and an EPS of 44 cents. (more…)
