Indian Game Developers To Receive Support From Alibaba’s UCWeb In The Form Of $20 Million

Independent and Startup game developers in India could score a massive resource funding of up to $500,000 each from Alibaba’s UCWeb. Alibaba revenue growth slows down in Q1, Yahoo stock value drops nearly 6%

Alibaba Buys Browser Maker UCWeb in Record Deal

China’s UCWeb joined Alibaba, the country’s e-commerce giant, on June 11 and became part of Alibaba’s new UC mobile business group. Following the deal, UCWeb CEO Yu Yongfu serves as the new group’s chairman and one of Alibaba’s top decision makers. Alibaba formerly held 60% of UCWeb, according to the company’s prospectus released in May. The deal has made UCWeb its wholy-owned subsidiary. (more…)
